Meet the indomitable force of strategy, John Decker—our Chief Strategy Officer who's been shaping the Anchor Wave landscape since 2013. With over two decades of sales prowess and a treasure chest of experience from his journey here, John isn't just a team member; he's an ace orchestrating greatness for us and the businesses we serve.

Back in the day, John found inspiration in his dad, who was both a service tech with Roto-Rooter and a sales virtuoso. Those traits of kindness, curiosity, and killer sales skills left an indelible mark on young John's journey. Being the first in his family to graduate from college, he paved his own path and found his way to Anchor Wave, ultimately becoming a Web Strategist—a role where his innate sales and strategic talents converged.

As the Grandmaster of Strategy at Anchor Wave, John doesn't just deliver strategy; he crafts masterpieces that fuel our clients' growth and satisfaction. With the precision of a chess champion, he oversees the delivery of strategic value to our potential partners, ensuring that every roadmap we pave leads to success.

When he's not busy crafting strategies or sharing his wisdom with the team, you'll find John juggling the roles of a proud father to twins, hitting the gym with his dynamic duo, or simply chilling at home. But that's not all—John's a jiu-jitsu enthusiast, a fervent soccer player and fan, and an unwavering supporter of the Dallas Cowboys. Oh, and did we mention he's a craft beer connoisseur? Yep, this guy's got all the angles covered.

Ever the people person, John thrives on connecting with new faces and learning about their passions. His motto, “Don’t talk about it. Be about it,” is a testament to his action-driven philosophy. With John in the driver's seat of strategy, there's no stopping the momentum toward success.

When we saw almost all of our partners shift their way of doing business, we went remote. What we saw is more intention when it came to culture, communication, and planning. Things we took for granted or simply dismissed while we were in the office were crucial for performance now…
